Maryann Winters, MS
Before retirement, Maryann Winters had more than 35 years of experience as a practicing CPA, and her clients appreciated that level of expertise.
Maryann’s areas of concentration at Cuomo, Winters & Schmidt CPAs, LLC were tax and consulting, in which she has extensive experience. She was also heavily involved in services for not- for-profit organizations. Maryann especially enjoyed the specialized work she does for her aging clients, who want to know their estate and trust planning was in good hands.
Maryann is a past member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and the Central New York Estate Planning Council. She is past chair of the NYSSCPA Tax Division Oversight Committee, and has held several other noteworthy positions including Director and Vice President of the NYSSCPA, and President of the NYSSCPA Syracuse Chapter. Maryann has also been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Governing Council. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics as well as a Master of Sciences degree in Accounting, both from Syracuse University.
Outside of the firm, Maryann holds several noteworthy positions within the community. She currently sits on the boards of the following corporate and not-for-profit organizations:
